Day Off Poll

With the O's having a day off tonight, I am going to start something new. I am going to have a new poll everytime the Orioles are off.

I don't think these guys are going to get it done. Who's out there that we can trade for in the next couple months?

I have seen on other websites that a possibility could be Barry Zito, Kevin Millwood, or some other struggling team pitchers. I think the Orioles best luck will come from a team trying to rebuild with young pitchers. We could hand over a couple of triple A pitchers for a good veteran and leader.

Millwood isn't struggling except in the team dependent W-L record. Given that he's on a one year contract he's probably worth a gamble. I just can't see the Indians parting with him. Zito is struggling; why would the O's want him? It's not worth panicking. If the O's manage to continue their winning ways fine. If not, ride it out. This isn't a young team and are probably outperforming their ability, it's not worth mortgaging the future to salvage this season at this time.

Jay Gibbons is a player that the Orioles could use for trade bait too. He is hitting really well right now, but Gibbons makes a ton of mistakes in the field. I don't think the Orioles will trade anyone until the All-Star break because they are still in first place. But if the O's are still in contention, I think the O's have to make a move by trading for pitcher.
